This Saturday 15th October 2011 Capital FM invites you to the #LoungeUnplugged Fanatic edition, featuring R&B and soul singer Vivian Green. The 32 year old Soul Train Awards nominee and a native of Philadelphia is on her fist visit to Kenya. She is famous for her three studio albums A Love Story (featuring the hit single “Emotional Rollercoaster”), Vivian (2005) and her third album Beautiful was released in 2010.
The Lounge Unplugged is proudly sponsored by Baileys, Virgin Atlantic and Hotel Intercontinental. It will be held at Kefit Centre on Limuru Rd. Gates open at 7pm. The event also features performances by Neema Ntalel and Fena.
Tickets are available at all Dormans outlets (Yaya Centre, Westgate and The Junction), as well as at Hotel Intercontinental and Capital FM on 19th Floor, Lonrho House. Advance tickets are selling for Ksh 2,000/= and they will be Ksh 2,500/= at the door. So hurry and get yours while stocks last!
I have a couple of tickets to give out to the Lounge Unplugged courtesy of 98.4 Capital FM. Everyone wants one, and I wish I could give them to all you guys who’ve been ombeting so hard on Twitter, but I can’t make it that easy. I recently lost my sister after a long battle with lupus. Its been a difficult time for me together with a close cousin who is also a close friend of mine. Why do I deserve the tickets? Well, I’ve been listening to Capital FM since days of Phil Mathews amuka, when Muthoni Bwika was the hottest thing on radio and I have never won anything!! lol..
Seriously though, the main reason I want to go for this concert is so I can take my friend. she’s the queen of neo soul, for real, she’s the one who hooks me up on music. Why i deserve the tickets:
I love Vivian Green have done so for ages, my favorite song of hers is emotional roller coaster which aptly describes what i went through in a previous relationship that i just ended. I don’t have a sob story but i will truly appreciate the tickets, i will take one of my girlfriend who is leaving the country soon and this would be a fitting farewell plus we would have loads of fun. I will rock a short blue dress to show off my killer legs, only way you will get to see them legs in that hot number is if you give me the tickets:-)
