fuck that, the power was out since 4.30! just came back on half an hour ago! i.e. 9pm bless my massive UPS i was online mains power or no power, hata mukizima stima…

@31337: is your UPS nuclear-powered or am I the one who doesn’t know how to use mine? It’d be generous to allow me just enough time (2 min) to shut down my PC!! It has a 200 page user manual, but only 1 button & a power switch. How now?
@Nzembi: Who knows!! But things have been more quiet & drama free without her around, so let’s keep it that way! She might just resurface randomly & throw a homecoming bash!

i gat a laptop, and i set it to best conservation, and i have a badass UPS with a couple extra batteries, you might need to get an lcd monitor for your computer and replace the batteries in the UPS once every year or soon as the standby time drops to…unreasonable levels.

Man, us guys down southlands were in darkness from 4pm! How now, Sunday afte is the only hour i religiously stay in the house… I couldn’t cook for the week, couldn’t iron for the week, couldnt finish papers for work due today… thats the only hour i can actually sit down and enjoy some music!In short my week is screwed…

@CB: soma vizuri. Almost 90% of the country was in darkness. I suspect that Karoocy accidentally turned off the national grid instead of the kawaida socket. Besides, that wig of hers is kidogo LARGEST!!
@SN: it’s not power rationing, it was a one off blackout.
@Zax: pole guy! That really messed up your schedule! But it’d be good to hear her opinions on those issues, besides, News Shot & Bulls Eye have kosad jobo since she’s disappeared. Atwoli can’t be the main feature every Friday!

I’ve grown used to them coz of recent load shedding in SA. Whoever comes up with these vocabularies? Ati load shedding.
The other day power failure caused a live match to be broadcasted several hours late and the presenter, smiling from ear to ear announced, “Now onto the delayed live match….” What is “delayed live” somebody? Si I thought it is either live or delayed (recorded). Shrug!

It was scary am used to the lights going and few minutes back. Worse the portable light also went off.

Am sure the rest of us in the “developed” world will be facing those same issues this summer….coz the sweltering heat is surely around the corner….

the lights were off most of the day and night, but thank God for the generators here that only light the TV rooms, i always thought the should light up the bathrooms, which makes more sense? but then, we got to watch tv…
